A New Fandom

Updated: Apr 7, 2020

As you may remember, as I new years resolution I challenged you to join a new fandom. So I'm here to report that I have successfully completed this mission. I have just finished a complete cry-fest of a book. Looking For Alaska has almost instantly become one of my favourite books and I need to by my own copy, since I had to put up with a tattered copy from the school library. I'm also planning to read more of John Green's books. Any recommendations?

Review:

This book made me cry and made me laugh, but mostly cry. It was so beautifully sad and reminded me that you never know how many days you have left. But Pudge, the Colonel, Alaska, Takumi and Lara showed me that my great perhaps can happen anytime, anyplace. I'd always heard that John Green is a great author that writes incredibly sad books but I never understood how sad until I read this. I recommend to over 15 that enjoy dramas, romances, and mysteries. But hey, I like fantasy, crime and dystopian so don't worry about the genre. Caution: contains mature scenes.
